Riverside County has struggled with major issues related to addiction, with data signifying a troubling trend regarding substance abuse and the many consequences that stem from it. Between 2010 and 2020, the county experienced a higher percentage of alcohol-related fatal collisions at 34.3 percent, surpassing the state average of 29.5 percent.
