At California Behavioral Health, we believe that trust is earned through transparency. In an industry where “success” is often defined vaguely, we have taken the step to independently validate our treatment efficacy. We partnered with Vista Research Group, a leading third-party behavioral health data firm, to track our alumni for one year post-treatment.
This study was not conducted internally. It is an objective, longitudinal analysis of patients discharged between 2020 and 2024. The results serve as verified proof that our evidence-based, non-12-step approach empowers individuals to reclaim their lives.
– 81% reported their overall mental health as “Excellent” or “Good” (up from 12% at intake).
– 44% of alumni remained completely abstinent from all drugs and alcohol one year after discharge – nearly double the national norm.
– 93% secured stable housing one year post-treatment at our facility.
– 53% Reduction in expensive emergency room visits compared to the year prior to treatment.

Recovery is a marathon, not a sprint. While many programs track patients only while they are on-site, the Vista Research study followed patients for 12 months to measure true, lasting sobriety.
According to the independent analysis by Vista Research, California Behavioral Health alumni consistently outperform national averages for abstinence at the 1, 6, and 12-month marks.
Proven Treatment Backed by Real Outcomes
Substance use is often a symptom of underlying mental health struggles. Our luxury dual-diagnosis program addresses the root causes of Depression, Anxiety, and Trauma simultaneously. The 2024 study validates that our integrated clinical model drastically reduces the severity of these co-occurring disorders.
Upon intake, the majority of our patients report moderate to severe symptoms of depression and anxiety. By the time of discharge, and continuing one year later, these symptoms are dramatically reduced.
Recovery extends beyond the individual to the family unit.

Posted on Erik Rosas I had an overall good experience. The owner Melissa was very rude but other than that the rest of the staff was amazing. One and done baby.Posted on Cadey Walker Amazing experience at cbh, they did dress code me a ridiculous amount of times but after I communicated they were dress coding me for my body they were receptive and stopped. Food is amazing, nursing staff are really cool, the group I was with had some amazing ppl. The phone time is 30 minutes-1hour for 3 days out of the week. The groups were very helpful and the therapists were amazing. This is a truly one of a kind place and I would highly recommend. They will not let you play cards against humanity and also failed to return two expansion packs that I bought and REQUESTED back (not cool Paul and Melissa 😒) but thank you for having me here!!! It was amazing and truly inspiring and helped me in my recovery a ton.Posted on Heather Flanagan This is a great place to rehabilitate. The staff are really nice and helpful. From the moment I arrived, the staff treated me with genuine compassion, respect, and professionalism. The therapists, medical team, and support staff truly care about each person’s recovery and well-being. The program is comprehensive — blending therapy, group work, and holistic activities that helped me understand myself on a deeper level and build healthy habits for life after treatment. The facility itself is beautiful, peaceful, and well-maintained, which made it easier to focus on healing. What really stood out was how personalized the care felt. They took time to understand my needs and created a plan that worked for me. I left feeling stronger, more self-aware, and full of hope. If you or someone you love is struggling with addiction or mental health issues, I highly recommend California Behavioral Health. My daughter told me 3 days into her stay that we definitely made the right choice. She felt comfortable, cared for, and was surrounded by professionals who truly care. She said even the food was delicious and healthy. Her therapist Will couldn’t have been a better fit for her. You would have thought she was family.
