Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP) Statistics in Palm Desert, California
Partial hospitalization programs are for people diagnosed with alcohol use disorders (AUD), substance use disorders (SUD), and mental health concerns when concurrent with dual diagnosis. More than 54 million Americans struggled with a substance use disorder in 2022. That same year, around 30 million people lived with an alcohol use disorder.
For many people, the cost of partial hospitalization programs prevents them from seeking help. Although there are over 55 million people who needed assistance for SUD in 2022, only around 26% of those people received any treatment. Unfortunately, less than 42% of those who start treatment complete the program.
Drilling down to the Palm Desert area, HARC, Inc.
